SMS 2 Fixed

Operators can offer fixed line subscribers the service of receiving text messages from mobile phone users. Landline users also gain access to popular content and services based on SMS. With SMS to Fixed an SMS which is send to a landline number is translated to voice. Then the SMS to Fixed platform calls the landline number and speaks out the message. In this way you can deliver (terminate) more SMS traffic.

The use of speech technology makes the service even more accessible. SMS messages are translated to human speech by using text-to-speech conversion. This makes the service especially useful for subscribers that are not used to working with SMS message services, such as elderly people.

Comsys dialogue experts have created an SMS Slang pre-processor on the SpeechFrame® platform. Abbreviations commonly used in SMS messages, such as m8 for -mate-, 2 for -to- and ;-) for -wink-, are translated to readable text or audio fragments.
