Now available SpeechFrame® based Software only

Soesterberg, October 5, 2009: Today Comsys announces the availability of the SpeechFrame® platform based on software only variant. This is an innovative step forward, enabling customers to use all the powerful features of the SpeechFrame® platform starting in a small system or growing to large scale implementation. By using VoiceXML, CCXML and Java the platform can be used for many different customer interaction applications. This step is further enhancing the flexibility of the platform, both in mixed environments as well as full SIP implementations.

The Comsys software only SpeechFrame® platform has been developed using Aculab’s host media processing software, Prosody S.

Prosody S offers a broad set of IP-based media processing functions and call or session control protocols for VoIP and IP telephony. The newly released Prosody S version 3 includes functionality to allow a distributed architecture to be used – Prosody S can be installed and run on a machine remote from the host on which the application is running. A single system can also be distributed across several servers – adding resilience/load balancing capabilities or enabling large systems to be built. This feature will allow users of the Comsys software only SpeechFrame® product to grow capacity as and when needed to meet the needs of the end user.
