Traffic information

Incident Notification System (INS): In case of an incident, staff of the incident department initiates, handles and keeps track of the deployment of all kinds of transportation means (i.e. busses, trams etc.) Their system initiates various Soap-XML messages that are sent to the IVR & IVVR platform. The IVR & IVVR executes the notification to the required personnel (including the guarding of the notification and the escalation rules) and shows the actual status to the customer via a HTML-web page. Of course the system delivers extended management reports via various media.

The personnel as well as the various institutes that are involved in this particular incident can be notified by means of SMS, IVR & IVVR, Text-to-Speech, e-mail and fax.

Calamity application

When, in case of a calamity, extra bus drivers are required for an evacuation of people, a large group of stand-by bus drivers is being hailed by a beeper to report themselves for duty. They can do this by calling a (toll free) 0800-number. The IVR & IVVR application behind that number asks the caller for his/her PIN code for further identification. Next the caller can listen to a pre-recorded message for additional information about the hale. This message can be altered remotely by the application administrator via a separate (0900 service number. Both the hailing time and the reporting time are logged. The logging list is sent every 5 minutes by fax to the administrator. When the desired amount of drivers has called in, the application is closed. All drivers that call in after this closure will here an appropriate message. When the desired number of drivers hasn???t been reached and time is critical, an additional hail can be triggered to the same or to an additional group of drivers.

Traffic Notifications

Traffic notifications make it possible to request and send flash messages. For making enquiries, a telephone number may be called at which notifications may be listened to on entering the road number. Flash message senders can also be logged into an application that automatically processes these messages. Messages can also be coupled to websites and RDS for example.
